Critical Skills Permit
Most Common
For highly skilled occupations in demand in Ireland. The most popular route for tech, engineering, healthcare, and finance professionals.
Salary: โฌ38K+ (most roles) or โฌ64K+ (all occupations) Duration: 2 years (leads to Stamp 4) Spouse: Can work on Stamp 1G

General Employment Permit
For occupations not on the Critical Skills list but still in demand. Requires a labour market needs test showing no suitable EU/EEA candidates.
Salary: โฌ34K minimum Duration: 2 years (renewable) Restriction: Tied to employer for first year

Stamp 1G (Graduate)
For international graduates from Irish colleges. Allows you to stay and work in Ireland for 1-2 years after graduation without needing a work permit.
EU/EEA and Swiss nationals have the right to live and work in Ireland without any permit. UK citizens retain similar rights under the Common Travel Area.
